2019 Records Review - A review of the records was conducted to verify the accuracy of all records.  The focus was on the lead off swimmers in the relays to determine if any records were set by those swimmers.  The following 2 records were identified and will be part of the 2020 records.  All the other records were verified as correct.

In 2011, the Mid Penn Swimming Committee merged the separate
championships of the AAA schools with the AA schools into a
single championships to enhance the competition.  The separate

The Hershey High School’s relay team of Miller, Liedholm, Gerhardt, and Nolan set a new Mid Penn record of 3:35.79 beating the 3:36.39 record set on February 9, 2007 by Hershey HS’s relay team of Rapp, Cooley, Fistrovic, and Nolan.

Event 24 Boys 400 Yard Freestyle Relay
The Cumberland Valley High School’s relay team of Wenner, Schmidt, Buck, and Gasparini set a new Mid Penn record of 3:19.78 beating the 3:20.05 record set on February 8, 2002 by Cumberland Valley HS’s relay team of Socha, Estacio, Gorter, and Miller.

Event 7 Girls 50 Yard Freestyle
Leah Gingrich (East Pennsboro HS) set a new Mid Penn record of 23.87 beating the 22 year old record of 24.18 set by Suzanne Levin in February 1985.

Event 19 Girls 100 Yard Backstroke
Leah Gingrich (East Pennsboro HS) beat the old Mid Penn record of 58.95 set by Sarah Haupt (Trinity HS) on February 10, 2001, with a new record of 56.39.

Event 23 Girls 400 Yard Freestyle Relay
The Trinity High School’s relay team of Court, Brett, Sheely, and Luttermoserset a new Mid Penn record of 3:41.32 beating the previous record of 3:41.72 set on February 12, 2005 by Trinity High School’s relay team of Court, Brett, Sheely, and Luttermoser.

Event 9 Girls 50 Yard Freestyle
As the lead off swimmer in the 200 Freestyle Relay, Katie Nolan (Hershey HS) swam a 23.95 beating the old record of 24.77 set by Kristen Montello (Chambersburg HS) on February 11, 2005.

Event 17 Girls 200 Yard Freestyle Relay
The Hershey High School’s relay team of Nolan, Fistrovic, Liedholm, and Rapp set a new Mid Penn record of 1:39.01 beating the 1:39.91 record of Cumberland Valley High School’s relay team of Englebrook, Yeager, Simons, and Smith set on February 8, 2002.

Event 19 Girls 100 Yard Backstroke
Katie Nolan (Hershey HS) set a new Mid Penn record of 57.70 beating the old record of 58.10 set by Ryan Smith (Cumberland Valley HS) on February 9, 2001.
